Our client is an award-winning organisation, looking to grow their team with a  Quality Control Team Leader

This is a permanent vacancy working site-based in Doncaster in a supervisory/management position assisting the Quality Control team.

The successful candidate will have experience in working with Vehicle Conversion/Fitting and have an ILM management qualification (or equivalent) as well as IOSH health and safety qualification. The ideal candidate will have experience in team leading and have the ability to recognise the “right man for the right job”. Communication & organisational skills are a must.

 

Details - Quality Control Team Leader

  • 28,392K pa

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday-Wednesday 6AM-4PM, Thursday 6AM-3PM

  • 20 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays

  • Potential overtime as required 

 

The Role – Quality Control Team Leader

As a Quality Control Team Leader  your day-to-day duties will include;

  • Taking responsibility for maintaining effective processes and controls

  • Recognising and implementing improvements as well as reporting quality issues

  • Issue daily work tasks and organising toolbox talks within the quality control team

  • Carrying out inspections & takinging pictures of complete conversions to record accurate technical data within line with the QMS

  • Organising 3rd party repairs ensuring the production schedule is inline

  • Providing all tooling necessary to complete vehicle conversions as well as sourcing new alternative equipment when required

  • Developing & mentoring the quality control staff by maintaining accurate Matrix training

  • Managing HR issues for the team such as holidays, behaviour and performance by performing one to ones and performance appraisals in conjunction with the compliance manager

  • Upholding health & safety protocol

  • Supporting supervisors with opening/locking up procedures

 

The Candidate

  • Do you have a good eye for recognising the development of individuals within a team

  • Are you able to handle pressure & work towards targets? 

  • Have you got flexibility to help support a team?

  • Can you demonstrate good team leadership skills? 

 

Must have

  • IOSH health & safety qualification

  • ILM management qualification or equivalent

  • At least 5 years in vehicle conversions/vehicle building

  • Good leadership & personal skills

  • The ability to work under pressure working towards targets/deadlines
